About Past The Plateau
Past The Plateau is an independent, non-clinical resource for people navigating one specific, very common moment in GLP-1 treatment: the point where weight loss slows down or stalls. We built the plateau checker because most of what's written about GLP-1 medications covers getting started or getting approved — far less covers what to do when progress stalls, or what actually happens if you stop treatment.
What we are — and aren't
We are not a medical provider, a pharmacy, or a telehealth service, and nothing on this site is medical advice. We summarize publicly available research and general clinical guidance in plain language, and we built a simple tool to help you organize your own data before a conversation with your prescriber. We are not able to diagnose a plateau, recommend a dose change, or tell you whether to start, stop, or switch medications — those are decisions for you and a licensed clinician who knows your full medical history.
How we handle accuracy
Where we reference research or clinical guidance, we link to the primary source (peer-reviewed studies, FDA materials, or major health system publications) rather than paraphrasing secondhand. If you spot something that looks outdated or inaccurate, please let us know — we review and correct content as new research comes out.
How this site makes money
Past The Plateau is supported by display advertising and, on some pages, affiliate links to telehealth providers or related products — clearly marked wherever they appear. Advertising and affiliate relationships never influence what our plateau checker tells you; the tool's logic is the same for every visitor regardless of what's advertised alongside it. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
